The municipality of Liloy has two elementary school namely, Liloy District I and the Liloy District II located at Barangay Fatima and Barangay Baybay respectively to served the school age population.
Records show that for school year 2009 to 2010 Liloy has 36 complete elementary school, one primary located at Barangay De La paz and only one Barangay out of the 37 barangays does not have school in the elementary school level.
For school year 2009-2010, Liloy has a total of 7,010 school children enrolled in the elementary level. To take care of the educational needs of these school children, there are a total of 236 teachers employed in the elementary level with an average teacher–student ratio of 1:30 or for every teacher there are 30 students in the elementary grades.
Also in the elementary level there are 115 existing school buildings with a total of 201 classrooms. Generally, the classroom-student ratio is pegged at 1:60 or for every classroom there are 60 students. However, there are schools that need additional classrooms. Some school building also needs repair so as not endanger the student.
On secondary education the municipality has now two secondary schools offering secondary education. Liloy National High School located at Barangay Fatima in the poblacion area and Compra Annex National High School located at Barangay Compra considering that the lone private secondary school, the Lisun Institute is no longer operating
