The Municipality of Liloy under the visionary leadership of Municipal Mayor Roberto Lim Uy Jr., and with the unwavering support of the LGU Liloy officials, Local DRRM Council members, DRRMO Staff and its stakeholders has once again conferred with the Gawad KALASAG Seal of Excellence for achieving a “Beyond Compliant” rating by the Gawad KALASAG National Validation and Selection Committee during the 24th Gawad KALASAG National and Regional Awarding Ceremony on December 9, 2024, at the Pavilion Government Center, Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.
The awarding ceremony was graced by Civil Defense Deputy Administrator for Administration and Education, ASEC. BERNARDO RAFAELITO R. ALEJANDRO and Office of Civil Defense RIX Regional Drirector, DIR. RAMON M. OCHOTORENA.
The Gawad KALASAG (GK) Seal for Local DRRM Councils and Offices is envisioned to serve as a performance assessment mechanism for all Local Government Units as they implement the provisions of Sections 11 and 12 of Republic Act No. 10121, specifically on the institutionalization of their Local DRRM Councils and Local DRRM Offices, including other policy issuances, such as the reporting on the allocation and utilization of the Local DRRM Fund.
This achievement belongs to everyone who has contributed to making Liloy a safer and stronger municipality. Together, we move forward with passion and purpose!
