Under the dynamic leadership of Municipal Mayor Roberto Lim Uy Jr., CPA, the Municipality of Liloy proudly received a Plaque of Recognition from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) for adopting the DOST-PHIVOLCS Rapid Earthquake Damage Assessment System (REDAS).
This prestigious recognition, personally presented by DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr., highlights Liloyโs commitment to mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) into local development planning, contingency planning, and emergency preparedness โ a true testament to our municipality’s proactive efforts in building a safer and more resilient community.
The award was conferred during the Mayorโs Night of DOST HANDA Pilipinas Para sa Bagong Pilipinas โ Mindanao Leg on September 22, 2025, held at the Marcian Garden Hotel, Zamboanga City. It was received on behalf of the municipality by Roy Allan Egoogan, LDRRM Officer III of LDRRMO Liloy.
