Ten (10) “Beyond Compliant” Local Government Units in Region IX were conferred with the Gawad KALASAG Seal of Excellence during the 23rd Gawad KALASAG National Awarding Ceremony on December 11, 2023 at The Manila Hotel, Ermita, Manila.
The other “Beyond Compliant” LGUs in the region are the following:
Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay
Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay
Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte
Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte
Labason, Zamboanga del Norte
Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte
Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte
The LGU awardees were joined on stage by RDRRMC IX Chairperson and Office of Civil Defense (OCD) IX Regional Director Ramon Ochotorena.
The awards were conferred by NDRRMC Chairperson and Department of National Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro, Jr., Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos, Jr., NDRRMC Executive Director and OCD Administrator Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno, and Civil Defense Deputy Administrator for Administration Assistant Secretary Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro IV.
