Mayor Roberto Lim Uy Jr. conducted a site inspection of the historic Shin’yō Maru shipwreck site together with members of the Hellships Memorial Foundation, namely:

Mr. Kevin Hamdorf – Photographer and Documentation Expert
Mr. Rhonie Dela Cruz – Filipino Historian
The site inspection forms part of ongoing efforts to preserve, document, and promote the historical significance of the Shin’yō Maru shipwreck site, one of Liloy’s most important World War II heritage landmarks. The activity also highlights the commitment of local and international heritage advocates to ensure that the stories and sacrifices associated with the Shin’yō Maru continue to be remembered and shared with future generations.
